In leading up to the parade, we are sponsoring poster, essay, and photography contests for all ages. After the parade, we are having a party in Festival Square for all the parade participants and their families where all the contest participants will be invited to share their work, and Disability Pride, with the public. It promises to be be a fun and exciting day. Please explore the web site to find out how you can participate.
If you want to help us reach out to the community, please feel free to download and then display our Parade and Contest flyers.
Our parade is proudly sponsored by the Nacogdoches Mayor's Committee on People with Disabilities. The NMCPD also puts on a Sports Day Out Festival for people with disabilities every fall, with this year's event taking place on September 26th, and there are also annual Accessibility Awards for businesses here in town. Please explore those pages above as well.
